Approximately 300 staff and patients at Al-Quds Hospital in the northern Palestinian enclave are currently trapped inside the hospital building without access to food, water, or electricity, as reported by the Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS).
"The effort to evacuate Al-Quds Hospital has been unsuccessful, leaving our medical teams, patients, and wounded individuals, along with their colleagues, stranded inside the hospital without access to food, water, and electricity," the organization highlighted, underscoring that 300 people are currently trapped within the hospital.
Earlier on November 13, a convoy attempting to evacuate patients and staff from Al-Quds Hospital in the northern Gaza Strip had to turn back due to heavy shelling in the vicinity of the medical facility, according to the PRCS.
On November 8, Arab media reported Israeli airstrikes on Al-Quds Hospital. In response, the Israeli military asserted that the strikes targeted militants of the Palestinian movement Hamas, who were allegedly in a building adjacent to the hospital, resulting in "secondary explosions." The Israeli side has consistently accused Hamas of situating their infrastructure in close proximity to civilian facilities, including tunnels underneath them.
