Relations between Russia and Yemen are developing in various directions. Yemen considers the Russian Federation its great friend. This was stated by Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Yemen to the Russian Federation Al-Wahishi Ahmed Salem while greeting participants of the plenary session of the Forum "Islam in a Multicultural World".
The diplomat noted that Kazan Federal University, which hosts the forum, is well known not only in Russia but also in the Arab world. Many students from Muslim countries study at the University. Famous Yemeni politicians graduated from the KFU and other Russian universities, Ahmed Salem noted.
Speaking about the theme of the Forum, the Ambassador recalled that Islam never fights with other faiths and does not accept terrorism and violence.
"Islam accepts all who worship God because the Almighty is one," the diplomat stressed, wishing the Forum participants fruitful work.
