Algeria highly appreciates the level of relations with Russia and seeks to develop cooperation with it in all areas. The Official Representative of the Algerian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Abdelaziz Benali Cherif, stated this in an interview for TASS.
According to him, relations between Algeria and Russia have evolved since the times of the USSR and were based on mutual respect and cooperation.
«I want to assure that we will never turn our backs on our friends and brothers, who have proved that they stand on our side in the most difficult times. Our relations have always remained and will be kind and good», the agency quotes the diplomat.
The Cherif pointed out that now the interaction of the two states has reached the level of strategic cooperation.
«All this testifies to the fact that we are developing cooperation and are determined to continue this», the Representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Algeria emphasized.
