President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has emphasized the need for regular contacts between Baku and Moscow regarding regional security issues. He made this statement during a meeting with Sergei Shoigu, Secretary of the Russian Security Council. A video snippet of the meeting was shared by the Zvezda TV channel on its Telegram page.
Aliyev stated, "Clearly, there is a need for regular interactions between representatives of Russia and Azerbaijan on regional security matters."
He highlighted the positive developments in the bilateral agenda, noting, "We can only speak of positive dynamics. The results of the decisions made by the political leadership of our countries are evident."
Before his visit to Baku, Shoigu had traveled to Tehran, where he held talks with Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian.
