Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu believes that the success of the grain deal can create an atmosphere of trust between Russia and Ukraine, which will contribute to a cease-fire and the resolution of the Ukrainian crisis. Ankara, for its part, is ready to make every effort to resolve the conflict, including making its territory available for meetings between Russia and Ukraine at any level, he said at a press conference Thursday following talks with his Georgian counterpart Ilia Darchiashvili.

"Turkey has been making active efforts since the beginning of the conflict to end it. Now it is necessary to focus on the cease-fire. This war will end at the negotiating table, and we will continue to do everything possible for this," the Turkish foreign minister said.

Concluding a grain deal has lifted barriers to grain exports not only from Ukraine, but also from Russia, Cavusoglu said.

"We hope that grain exports will proceed smoothly. The main thing is that it should be delivered to the countries that need it badly, the coordination center in Istanbul will monitor this. The deal removed barriers not only for grain from Ukraine, but also from Russia," he said.
