The US Defense Department has already forgotten how recently planes of the United States and its NATO allies bombed cities in Iraq, Libya and Yugoslavia, Russian Ambassador to Washington Anatoly Antonov said on Tuesday, commenting on Pentagon spokesman John Kirby's remarks about alleged "war crimes" committed by the Russian military in Ukraine.
"The feeling is that the Pentagon has already forgotten how, not long ago, planes of the United States and its NATO allies bombed cities in Yugoslavia, Iraq, and Libya on live television. Nor do they remember the egregious crimes committed by US servicemen and mercenaries in Afghanistan and Syria," the embassy's press service quoted Antonov as saying in its Telegram channel.
