Aliya Zaripova, the spokeswoman for the Russian Federation's representative office to the Palestinian National Authority (PNA) in Ramallah, informed a TASS correspondent that approximately 450 citizens of the Russian Federation are presently in the Gaza Strip.
"Currently, approximately 450 Russians are present in the Palestinian enclave," stated Zaripova. However, she noted that determining the exact number of Russian citizens still remaining in Gaza poses considerable difficulty.
The spokeswoman clarified that approximately 1,200 Russian citizens are on the consular register, noting that not everyone has registered their children. Some individuals may have arrived in Gaza during the sharp escalation and remained, while others left at that time and have been unable to return. Earlier reports indicated that over 900 people sought assistance for evacuating from the Gaza Strip. On November 24, Roman Okhotenko, Director of the Russian Emergencies Ministry's Information Policy Department, reported that in the past 24 hours, 101 compatriots, along with family members, were evacuated through the Rafah crossing, bringing the total evacuees from the conflict zone to over 750. He also highlighted that since the operation's commencement, more than 650 people, including 300 children, have been brought back to Russia.
