Armenia receives new peace treaty proposals from Azerbaijan

07 February 2023

Armenia has received Azerbaijan's next proposals for the peace treaty and is studying them, Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan said on Tuesday.

"We were supposed to meet in Moscow with the foreign ministers of Azerbaijan and Russia, but due to the blockage of the Lachin corridor, the Armenian side postponed its participation. But despite this, we passed our proposals to the Azerbaijani side and the other day we received new proposals for the peace treaty from Baku. We keep working on the text," Mirzoyan said.

The Armenian foreign minister said that the work on the peace treaty should continue, and it's very important.

The leaders of Armenia and Azerbaijan have already held two rounds of talks on the peace treaty, the meetings were held on October 6 in Prague and October 31 in Sochi.
