Around 1.4 Million Gaza Residents Did Not Receive Sufficient Food in September

16 October

Approximately 1.4 million residents of Gaza did not receive enough food in September, according to the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) in the Occupied Palestinian Territory.

“In September, around 1.4 million people in Gaza, representing about 70% of the population, did not receive their monthly food rations,” the report stated.

The document also highlighted that the volume of humanitarian aid entering Gaza has dropped to its lowest level in recent months. “This sharp decline in humanitarian deliveries is accompanied by a severe shortage of commercial goods. As winter and the rainy season approach, the majority of people in Gaza are facing a lack of aid, inadequate housing, and insufficient fuel,” the report added.
