Assad vaccinated against coronavirus with Sputnik V vaccine

Syrian Ambassador to Russia Riyad Haddad told the SPIEF that President Bashar al-Assad has already been vaccinated with the Sputnik V vaccine.


"Yes, he has been vaccinated," he said.


He said that Syria is in the process of vaccinating its citizens against the coronavirus with the Sputnik V vaccine. "Sputnik V is already in Syria. This is the third round of use in Syria. The first batch was used to vaccinate doctors and top officials of the country. That has already been done. Now people are already being vaccinated in Syria," he told reporters.


The St. Petersburg International Economic Forum 2021 is being held on June 2-5 in a face-to-face format.
