Azerbaijan will develop military-technical cooperation with Russia and has applied for the purchase of new samples of Russian weapons, president Ilham Aliyev said in an interview with the Russian magazine Natsionalnaya oborona (National defense), which was published on Friday.
"We (with Russia) have good work in all directions, including the line of military-technical cooperation. Naturally, we are now looking at new developments, now technical groups are studying new possibilities, we have already submitted some applications, so cooperation in this direction with Russia will also develop," the head of state said.
He expressed confidence that in the future cooperation between the two countries "will continue to grow".
