Azerbaijan's Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov and Turkey's Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan recently held discussions on the peace process between Baku and Yerevan, according to a statement from Azerbaijan’s Foreign Ministry.
“Minister Bayramov provided his Turkish counterpart with a detailed briefing on the normalization process between Azerbaijan and Armenia, emphasizing Baku’s firm commitment to advancing the peace process despite various challenges,” the statement noted.
Bayramov also expressed confidence that normalizing relations between Azerbaijan and Armenia would contribute to greater peace and security in the region.
Fidan visited Baku to participate in the 9th trilateral meeting of the foreign ministers of Azerbaijan, Georgia, and Turkey. The talks included discussions on economic cooperation, joint projects in energy and transportation, and security in the South Caucasus.
