Baghdad's international airport was hit by rocket fire, the Al Jazeera TV channel Al Jazeera, citing Iraqi security sources, reported on Friday.

The statement called the attack "a terrorist attack aimed at undermining the [Iraqi] government's efforts to restore Iraq's role in the region." Some "terrorist gangs" were blamed for the attack.
In turn, Iraqi Airlines stated that the incident did not affect the operation of Baghdad airport, domestic and international flights are carried out in the normal mode.
In turn, the Al Arabiya TV channel informed that the Victoria military camp located at the airport, where previously the soldiers of the international coalition led by the USA were cantoned, was attacked by an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV). It is stated that the UAV fired at the camp was shot down by air defense systems before reaching its target.
