Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov is expected to visit Baghdad in October this year. This was announced at the meeting of the head of Europe Department of the Iraqi Foreign Ministry Ali Shamran Hajj with Russian Ambassador to Iraq Maksim Maksimov.
As reported in the comment of the Iraqi Foreign Ministry, during the meeting, the diplomats discussed bilateral relations between Russia and Iraq, and also raised the issue of the upcoming visit of Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov to Baghdad, which is scheduled for October.
Earlier, the Iraqi Ambassador to Moscow Haidar Mansour Hadi also said that Lavrov is expected to visit Baghdad this year.
