Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Andrei Rudenko and the newly appointed Kazakh Ambassador to Moscow Dauren Abayev held discussions regarding bilateral cooperation in regional matters, with a specific focus on the Caspian Sea and Afghanistan, as reported by the Russian Foreign Ministry's press service.
"On October 2, Deputy Foreign Minister of the Russian Federation Andrei Rudenko met with Kazakhstan's newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Russia Dauren Abayev," - the ministry reported. - "They engaged in a substantive discussion regarding the collaboration between the two countries in regional matters, with a particular emphasis on the Caspian Sea and Afghanistan, as well as their involvement in the SCO and CICA platforms."
The ministry mentioned that during the meeting, Rudenko extended his congratulations to Abayev on assuming his new role and conveyed his best wishes for a successful tenure in further enhancing and broadening the strategic partnership and alliance between Russia and Kazakhstan.
