Russian Presidential Special Representative for the Middle East and Africa, Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov held talks with Egyptian Ambassador to Moscow Nazih el Nagari on Middle East matters. The primary focus of the conversation was the ongoing armed confrontation between Israel and Hamas in the Gaza Strip.
"The main attention during the conversation was dedicated to current Middle East issues, specifically the ongoing armed confrontation between Israel and Hamas in the Gaza Strip," stated the Russian Foreign Ministry in a released statement following the meeting.
The ministry also highlighted that the discussions covered specific issues related to the continued strengthening of traditionally friendly relations between Russia and Egypt. This included considerations regarding the schedule of upcoming bilateral events.
