Bogdanov and Jordanian Ambassador Discuss Escalation in Palestinian-Israeli Conflict Zone

Russian Presidential Special Representative for the Middle East and Africa, Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov held discussions with Jordanian Ambassador to Moscow Khaled Shawabkeh concerning the ongoing escalation in the conflict between Israel and Palestine, alongside the situation in and around Syria.

 

"In the course of the conversation, there was an in-depth exchange of perspectives on critical aspects of the Middle East agenda, particularly focusing on the escalating tensions in the Palestinian-Israeli conflict zone and the Red Sea region, in addition to developments in and around Syria," stated the Russian foreign ministry in a released statement.

 

It also highlighted that the meeting also addressed paramount issues regarding the continued enhancement of the longstanding friendly relations between Russia and Jordan. This encompassed the continuation of robust political dialogue and the expansion of mutually beneficial trade, economic, and humanitarian cooperation.

 

The meeting was convened at the initiative of the Jordanian ambassador.
