During their meeting, Russian Presidential Special Envoy for the Middle East and Africa, Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov and Lebanese Ambassador to Moscow Chawki Bou Nassar underscored the importance of preventing the escalation of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict to Lebanon and other nations in the region. This information was conveyed by the Russian diplomatic department.

"The need of preventing the extension of armed conflict to Lebanon and neighboring countries, along with the grave concern about the potential humanitarian crisis and the influx of Palestinian refugees, was strongly emphasized," noted the ministry.

The parties thoroughly discussed the current situation in Lebanon and the broader Middle East, particularly in light of the recent escalation of violence in the conflict zone between Israel and Palestine. The Russian Foreign Ministry specified that the meeting took place in response to a request from the Lebanese ambassador.
