Russian Presidential Special Representative for the Middle East and African countries, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov discussed the settlement of the Syrian crisis with Swiss Ambassador to Moscow Krystyna Marty Lang. This was reported by the Russian foreign ministry on Thursday.
"During the conversation the parties exchanged views on the developments in the Middle East with a focus on the Syrian crisis settlement. They also touched upon topical aspects of African agenda, including in the context of preparations for the second Russia-Africa summit in July this year," the statement reads.
The Russian MFA specified that the meeting was held at the request of the Swiss ambassador.
