Russian Presidential Special Representative for the Middle East and Africa, Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov and UAE Minister of State for International Cooperation Rim bint Ibrahim al-Hashimi have discussed the prospects for resolving the Palestinian-Israeli conflict and the urgent need to deliver humanitarian aid to the population in the Gaza Strip, as reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation.
"During their discussion on pressing issues in the Middle East, the focus was on the potential for a resolution to the Palestinian-Israeli conflict, with a particular emphasis on the importance of collective efforts to bring an immediate cessation of hostilities in the Gaza Strip and to deliver urgently needed humanitarian aid to its inhabitants," the Russian foreign ministry noted.
The meeting also covered the potential for enhancing Russian-Emirati coordination on various international platforms, including the United Nations (UN) and the BRICS (Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa).
