Bogdanov Condemns Israeli Strikes on Syrian Targets

05 November

Russia has strongly condemned Israel's provocative strikes on Syrian targets, describing them as blatant violations of Syria's sovereignty. This statement was issued following a meeting between Russia's Special Presidential Representative for the Middle East and Africa, Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov, and Syrian public and political representatives.

The Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs reported that discussions focused on post-crisis recovery in Syria, the preservation of its unity and territorial integrity, and addressing humanitarian issues, particularly aiding refugees arriving from Lebanon.

The statement underscored Russia’s “firm condemnation of serious violations of Syria’s sovereignty, including Israel's provocative strikes on targets within Syrian territory.”

During the meeting, sides also emphasized the need to prevent the current dangerous escalation of violence in the region from affecting Syria.
