Special Presidential Representative for the Middle East and Africa and Deputy Foreign Minister of Russia Mikhail Bogdanov discussed bilateral cooperation in the economic and humanitarian spheres with Ambassador of the Syrian Arab Republic to Moscow Riyad Haddad on Tuesday for the speedy recovery of the country, the Russian diplomatic mission reported.
“During the conversation, there was an in-depth exchange of views on the developments in and around Syria. The Russian side confirmed its continued support for the sovereignty, unity and territorial integrity of the SAR and its focus on further effective support to the SAR in combating international terrorism”, the text posted on the website of the Russian Foreign Ministry says.
“Topical issues of Russian-Syrian cooperation in economic and humanitarian spheres were also discussed for the purpose of early post-conflict reconstruction of Syria”, the ministry noted.
