Bogdanov discussed Libya with the Adviser to the German Chancellor

At the initiative of the German side, the Special Presidential Representative  for the Middle East and Africa, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov had a telephone conversation with Jan Hecker, Foreign Policy Adviser to German Chancellor.


According to the Russian Foreign Ministry, the conversation included a detailed discussion of the current military and political situation in Libya and the implementation of UN Security Council resolution 2510.


At the same time, the parties stressed the importance of an early ceasefire, including within the framework of the inter-Libyan "humanitarian truce" in accordance with the UN Secretary-General's call.


The position of Moscow and Berlin in favor of establishing a sustainable inclusive inter-Libyan dialogue aimed at creating state authorities capable of ensuring the unity, territorial integrity and sovereignty of Libya was also confirmed.
