Deputy Foreign Minister and Special Presidential Representative for the Middle East and Africa Mikhail Bogdanov had a telephone conversation with Fatah Central Committee member Azzam al-Ahmad, upon the initiative of the Palestinian side.
During in-depth conversation, as the press service of the Foreign Ministry reports, the parties exchanged views on the restoration of Palestinian national unity based on the Palestine Liberation Organisation as well as the prospects for a Palestinian-Israeli settlement based on recognised international law, including UN Security Council and General Assembly resolutions, the Madrid Principles and the Arab Peace Initiative.
