Special Presidential Representative for the Middle East and Africa, Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov received Ambassador of the Syrian Arab Republic to Moscow Riad Haddad at the latter’s request.
During the conversation, the diplomats held an in-depth exchange of views on the developments in and around Syria, including prospects for a political settlement in the country.
They also discussed the current issues of strengthening Russian-Syrian cooperation with a view to rebuilding the socio-economic infrastructure in Syria and in this way creating favorable conditions for refugees and internally displaced persons to return home as soon as possible.
