Russian President's Special Representative for the Middle East and Africa, Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov discussed the situation in the Middle East and North Africa with UAE State Minister for Foreign Affairs Anwar Gargash, the Russian Foreign Ministry reports.
Bogdanov and Gargash had a telephone conversation on June 22 at the initiative of the Emirate side.
"During the conversation, topical Middle East and North Africa issues were discussed in detail, focusing on the emerging military and political situation in Yemen and Libya, as well as the situation in the Persian Gulf," the ministry said.
