Bogdanov Discusses Gaza Situation with Ambassadors of Saudi Arabia and Yemen

Mikhail Bogdanov, the Russian President's Special Representative for the Middle East and Africa and Deputy Foreign Minister, held talks with Saudi Arabian Ambassador to Moscow Abdulrahman bin Suleiman Al-Ahmad and Yemeni Ambassador Ahmed Salem Al-Wahishi. The discussions focused on the Palestinian-Israeli conflict and the situation in the Red Sea, according to a statement from the Russian Foreign Ministry.

 

"Special attention was given to the developing situation in the Palestinian-Israeli conflict zone. The talks also covered important issues regarding the further strengthening of the traditionally friendly and multifaceted relations between Russia and Saudi Arabia, as well as Russia and Yemen," the statement said.

 

The Russian Foreign Ministry noted that the discussions included an in-depth exchange of views on the evolving situation in Yemen and the Red Sea area. "The importance of consolidating international support for efforts to establish a sustainable intra-Yemeni national dialogue under the auspices of the UN, involving all major political forces in the country to achieve long-term stabilization in Yemen, was reaffirmed," the ministry added.
