The ministry confirmed the meeting, stating that the talks focused on the issue of hostages and the broader regional situation, particularly the humanitarian aspects in Gaza.
Russia has repeatedly emphasized its commitment to working with all parties to secure the release of hostages and has called for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza.
