The meeting was held in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian federation between the Special Representative of the President of the Russian Federation for the Middle East and Africa, Deputy Foreign Minister of Russia Mikhail Bogdanov and the Representative of the leadership of the Syrian opposition Front for Change and Liberation Opposition Qadri Jamil.
According to the press service of the Russian Foreign Ministry, during the conversation, the sides have exchanged the views on the issues of a political settlement in Syria in accordance with the decisions of the Congress of the Syrian National Dialogue in Sochi and the provisions of UN Security Council Resolution 2254. On the other hand, Bogdanov and Jamil have underlined the necessity to ensure the unity, sovereignty, independence and territorial integrity of the SAR.
