Deputy Foreign Minister and Special Presidential Representative for the Middle East and Africa Mikhail Bogdanov received member of the Chamber of Deputies of the Lebanese Republic Tony Frangieh.
During the conversation, according to the press service of the Russian Foreign Ministry, the parties had an in-depth exchange of views on Lebanon and the overall situation in the Middle East.
The Russian side reaffirmed its commitment to the unity, sovereignty and independence of friendly Lebanon and to the Lebanese people solving all the acute issues on the national agenda without foreign interference, based on the constitution and though an inclusive dialogue aimed at searching for consensus between the country’s leading political forces and religious groups.
