Russian Deputy Foreign Minister and Special Presidential Representative for the Middle East and Africa Mikhail Bogdanov received the Chairman of the Sunni Endowment Office of Iraq Abdul Latif Al Hemyem.
During the conversation, the parties exchange views on current Middle East issues, with an emphasis on the situation in and around Iraq. At the same time, the officials expressed common attitude for consolidating efforts in the fight against international terrorism in the interests of ensuring stability and security both in Iraq and in the region.
Bogdanov reaffirmed the consistent line in support of the unity, sovereignty and territorial integrity of Iraq.
