Deputy Foreign Minister and Special Presidential Representative for the Middle East and Africa Mikhail Bogdanov received Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to the Russian Federation Raed bin Khaled Qarmali at the latter’s request.
During the talks, the parties discussed a set of tasks to further strengthen Russian-Saudi relations, taking into account the results of President of Russia Vladimir Putin’s state visit to Riyadh on October 14-15.
"The diplomats also exchanged views on key topics on the Middle East agenda with an emphasis on developments in Yemen, Iraq, Lebanon, Syria and the Persian Gulf region," the message of Russian MFA reads.
