Special Presidential Representative of the Russian Federation for the Middle East and Africa and Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov received Ambassador of Lebanon to Russia Chawki Bou Nassar at the latter's request.
During the conversation, the diplomats exchanged views on the developments in Lebanon and the Middle East as a whole.
The Russian side reaffirmed its support for the unity, sovereignty and independence of the friendly Lebanese Republic and the settlement of all domestic issues by the Lebanese themselves in line with the Constitution and inclusive dialogue.
Also, it was emphasized that any form of foreign interference in Lebanese affairs is unacceptable.
