Special Presidential Representative for the Middle East and Africa, Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov had a meeting with Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Interim Libyan Government of Eastern Libya Abdul Hadi Al-Hweij in Moscow.
The parties discussed the current situation in Libya. The Russian side stressed the need for the early establishment of an inclusive inter-Libyan negotiation process under the auspices of the UN with the ultimate goal of forming unified authorities capable of effectively solving urgent problems, including the fight against terrorism and extremist ideology.
