Special Presidential Representative for the Middle East and Africa and Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov received the personal representative of the leader of the Progressive Socialist Party of Lebanon Halim Bou Fakhreddine.
During the conversation, according to the press service of the Russian MFA, confidential exchange of views on the development of the situation in Lebanon and the Middle East as a whole took place.
The Russian side, at the same time, reaffirmed the commitment to the unity, sovereignty and independence of the friendly Lebanese Republic, readiness for further development of bilateral relations, including contacts with the leading political forces of Lebanon to enhance national harmony and stability in the country.
