In Moscow, a meeting was held between the Special Representative of the President of the Russian Federation for the Middle East and African countries, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Russia, Mikhail Bogdanov, with the Syrian Ambassador in Russia, Riyad Haddad.
Diplomats discussed the development of the situation in Syria and around it. Special attention is paid to the restoration of the socio-economic infrastructure of the country and the creation of conditions for the return of refugees.
The Russian side has once again confirmed its continued support for efforts to resolve the crisis in the SAR as soon as possible on the basis of the decisions of the Syrian National Dialogue Congress in Sochi and the provisions of UN Security Council resolution 2254.
