Russia is actively pursuing the implementation of a visa-free regime with all countries in the Persian Gulf region, Mikhail Bogdanov, Russian President's Special Representative for the Middle East and Africa, Deputy Foreign Minister, told TASS.
"We are currently involved in systematic efforts towards this goal, as we believe it serves the interests of our nations and facilitates communication, business collaboration, and tourism," he stated in response to a pertinent inquiry.
Bogdanov emphasized that such endeavors are underway with all Persian Gulf countries.
Previously, the Russian foreign ministry informed TASS about ongoing preparations for draft intergovernmental agreements on visa-free regimes with several countries, including Bahrain, Oman, Saudi Arabia, the Bahamas, Barbados, Haiti, Zambia, Kuwait, Malaysia, Mexico, and the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago.
