Deputy Foreign Minister and Special Presidential Representative for the Middle East and Africa Mikhail Bogdanov and Egyptian Ambassador to Russia Ihab Nasr, representing the country chairing the African Union, held a briefing on the Russia-Africa Summit and the economic forum held in Sochi on October 23–24 for the heads of foreign diplomatic missions accredited in Russia.
According to the press service of the Russian Foreign Ministry, the foreign diplomats got to know the format and content of the main events held as part of the first meeting at the highest level on such a scale in the history of Russian-African relations, and the results and prospects for the further development of mutually beneficial and comprehensive cooperation between Russia and African countries.
