BRICS Foreign Ministers to discuss cooperation to counter terrorism

On July 26th a meeting of the Foreign Ministers of BRICS countries is set to take place in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, which will be attended by Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov.

 

 


As reported on the website of the Russian Foreign Ministry, the diplomats will discuss a wide range of important issues on maintaining international peace and stability.

 

 


In particular, there will be an exchange of views on the settlement of international conflicts, the intensifying of joint work on combating terrorism and transnational organized crime and the tasks in the field of international information security.

 

 


BRICS is an association of five major emerging national economies: Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa.
