Today, Chairman of the General Authority of Islamic Affairs and Endowments of the UAE Mohammed Matar Salem bin Abid Al Kaabi visited the Bulgarian Islamic Academy (BIA).
According to the press service of the Academy, the guest was received by the rector of the BIA Daniyar Abdrakhmanov.
Al-Kaabi toured educational and residential buildings, the library, the multifunctional hall and the Museum. Abdrakhmanov told about the defense of doctoral dissertations of Islamic Sciences (first in the history of the Academy and Russia), as well as educational and research activities of the Academy.
During the meeting, the parties also discussed the possibility of signing a cooperation agreement between the Bulgarian Islamic Academy and the Mohammed V University in Abu Dhabi, which Board is chaired by al-Kaabi.
During his visit to Tatarstan, Mohammed Matar Salem bin Abid al-Kaabi met with the President of the Republic Rustam Minnikhanov, Chairman of Group of Strategic Vision "Russia-Islamic World", visited the residence of the Spiritual administration of Muslims of the Republic, the Galeev mosque, the Russian Islamic Institute, the rehabilitation center of the Yardam mosque and met with representatives of the Kazan diocesan administration.
