Chairman of the Religious Board of Muslims congratulates on the appointment of the new Supreme Mufti of Kazakhstan

The Kurultai of the Religious Board of Muslims of Kazakhstan Nauryzbay Taganuly elected as new Chairman, Supreme Mufti of the Republic. The former Chairman of the Religious Board Serikbay Oraz proposed Taganuly's candidacy for the post of the new Supreme Mufti.


300 Kurultai delegates voted for this proposal.


Previously, Taganuly was the first Deputy Chairman of the Religious Board and the Chief Imam of the Hazret Sultan mosque in Nur-Sultan.


Chairman of the Religious Board of Muslims of Russia, the Russian Muftis Council Ravil Gainutdin congratulated Nauryzbai Taganuly on his election as the Supreme Mufti of Kazakhstan.


"Today I express confidence that in the high post of the Supreme Mufti of Kazakhstan, you will show sincere diligence on our direct path, realize the qualities of a modern competent, purposeful chairman, and serve for the benefit of the unity and prosperity of the Ummah," Gainutdin's congratulatory telegram reads.
