China is in favor of the peaceful use of outer space and doesn’t intend to participate in the space arms race. This, speaking at the Conference on Disarmament in Geneva, said Foreign Ministry spokesman Gen Shuang.
According to the diplomat, China on this issue fully supports Russia, and for many years, the two states have jointly opposed the proliferation of weapons in outer space.
«China has consistently advocated the peaceful exploitation of space, against its militarization. Space should be considered a public domain, the protection of the security of which is the task of everyone», noted in particular the official representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People’s Republic of China.
