The version about artificial creation of a new type of coronavirus is unsubstantiated, the official representative of the Chinese Foreign Ministry Zhao Lijian said commenting on the publication of the Fox News American TV channel that the "zero patient" with the new coronavirus was a certain employee of the laboratory in Wuhan.
He recalled that the version about the leak of this virus from the laboratory is not recognized by authoritative world medical experts.
"The pandemic is a common enemy for all mankind. And it can only be won with the concentrated efforts of the entire international community," the diplomat stressed.
On April 15, Fox News, citing "numerous sources", reported that the virus was transmitted to one of the laboratory employees from a bat, later this researcher allegedly became its carrier among the residents of Wuhan.
At the same time, Fox News sources indicate that the virus was not the result of the development of biological weapons.
