Chingiz Aitmatov International Forum of Writers and Intellectuals will be held in an online format

On October 22, 2020, the Group of Strategic Vision "Russia-Islamic World" holds the Forum "Russia and Islamic World: The Role of Traditional Values in Maintaining Cultural Diversity". Speakers of the Forum are Farit Mukhametshin, the Deputy Chairman of the Federation Council Committee on Foreign Affairs, Deputy Chairman of the GSV "Russia-Islamic World" and Ramazan Abdulatipov, the Permanent Representative of the Russian Federation to the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC).  Special Representative of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation for Cooperation with Organizations of Muslim States Konstantin Shuvalov, former head of UNESCO Irina Bokova, Special Advisor to the Director-General of UNESCO Munir Bushnaki, Secretary-General of the OIC Research Center for Islamic History, Art and Culture (IRCICA) Khalit Eren, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan Leyla Fazleeva and others confirmed their intention to participate in the event.


This year the event will be held in an online format. Its purpose is to bring together intellectuals to develop joint approaches to address acute spiritual, moral and humanitarian issues of contemporary society for the autumn of 2021 offline Forum on the same topic. The Forum aims to bring together all those for whom the dialogue of civilizations and the maintenance of cultural diversity is a priority for life and activity.


In general, the Chingiz Aitmatov International Forum of Writers and Intellectuals intends to unite intellectuals, writers, public figures from all over the world, becoming a new platform for analysis and monitoring of cultural security factors that determine the development of human civilization in its diversity. It is no coincidence that the GSV "Russia - Islamic World" acted as the consolidating platform of the Forum. Its priorities include the maintenance of inter-ethnic and inter-religious harmony, as well as the study of cultural enrichment processes in Russian and world practice.
