Chairman of the CIS Executive Committee Sergei Lebedev praised the proactive approach of Belarus to developing a dialogue with the Commonwealth. This was reported on Wednesday by the press service of the foreign ministry of the republic following a meeting between Lebedev and Belarusian Foreign Minister Sergei Aleinik.
"During the meeting, Lebedev rated highly the participation of the Republic of Belarus in the work of the organization in all directions, noting the proactive approach of the dialogue development by Belarus," reads the report.
Aleinik stressed the special importance that Belarus attaches to the development of cooperation with the CIS member states and the strengthening of the institutional foundations of the Commonwealth.
"During the meeting, the sides discussed the prospects for further development of multilateral cooperation within the Commonwealth of Independent States and plans for cooperation in 2023," the foreign ministry added.
