CIS Ministerial Council meeting kicks off in Samarkand

The regular meeting of the CIS Council of Foreign Ministers (CMFA), held in Samarkand, has started with the talks of the CIS foreign ministers in a narrow format, which was opened by acting Foreign Minister of Uzbekistan Bakhtiyor Saidov.


"Our meeting opens the program of important events within the CIS framework, planned for 2023, which promises to be very rich. We have great tasks in front of us, and if we unite our efforts even more, we can achieve the set goals," Saidov said.


As reported earlier, the draft meeting of the CMFA included 11 topics covering a wide range of areas of cooperation within the Commonwealth. The heads of foreign ministries are expected to exchange views on topical international and regional issues and discuss the prospects of developing multifaceted cooperation in the CIS format.
