CIS Youth Council Holds Meeting in Tashkent

A meeting of the CIS Youth Council took place in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, with representatives from Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan in attendance, as reported by the press service of the Russian embassy in Uzbekistan.

 

The meeting centered on discussions regarding the implementation of the Action Plan for 2023-2024 aimed at realizing the Strategy of International Youth Cooperation among CIS countries and the Action Plan for organizing the Year of Volunteer Movement in the CIS in 2024.

 

Additionally, the Council reviewed the outcomes of the participation of delegations from Commonwealth states in the World Youth Festival, which took place from March 1 to 7 in Sochi. They also deliberated on the progress of the project "Youth Capital of the CIS" scheduled for Tashkent this year and in the Azerbaijani city of Gabala in 2025.

 

Moreover, the meeting addressed the establishment of an annual Forum for volunteers from CIS countries.
