Cobalt special tactical training exercises of CSTO forces to be held in Kyrgyzstan on August 2-5

Cobalt-2022 special tactical training exercises the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) forces will be held in Kyrgyzstan in the beginning of August, says the website of the CSTO on Tuesday.


"From August 2 to 5 this year, in accordance with the plan of joint training of forces of the CSTO collective security system, a tactical and special exercise with the formations of special forces, which are part of the CSTO Collective Rapid Reaction Force, will be held in the territory of the Kyrgyz Republic," the message reads.


The troops involved in the exercise, as follows from the message of the CSTO, "will perform training and applied operational and combat tasks of searching, blocking and neutralizing of gangs, terrorist groups, closing drug smuggling channels and the detection of caches, laboratories for the storage and production of drugs and their destruction. Ministry of Emergency Situations' units will work on elimination of consequences of anti-terrorist operation. The exercise plan also includes command and staff training in planning a special operation, organization of interaction and management of diverse forces and means.


Competitions in shooting from various types of weapons among the teams of participant are planned at the end of the training.
