A delegation from Crimea went to Syria on a business mission. As the Minister for industrial policy of the Republic Andrey Vasyuta said in an interview for RIA Novosti, the delegation will participate in the Damascus International Fair.
"The Crimean delegation went to Syria, where it will take part in the 61st International fair in Damascus," the Agency quoted the Minister as saying.
There will be one booth of the Crimea with electrical products, welding equipment, products of the chemical industry and agricultural producers, as well as metallurgical and shipbuilding shipyards.
According to Vasyuta, the Crimean delegation includes representatives of relevant ministries and departments, as well as the business communities of the Republic and the Crimean-Syrian trading house.
During the talks with Syrian colleagues, it is planned to discuss the supply of products, as well as the loading at the seaports of Kerch and Feodosia.
It is worth noting that the international exhibition in Damascus has been held annually since 1954. It was suspended in 2011 with the outbreak of civil war in the Arab Republic and resumed in 2017.
This year the exhibition will be held from August 28 to September 6 with the participation of delegations from about 40 countries.
