Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan show their ability to quickly localize incidents and reduce tension on the border, Secretary-General of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) Stanislav Zas said Wednesday at the conference “Collective Security in a New Era: Experience and Prospects of the CSTO” of the Valdai international discussion club.
"If we talk about Asian countries, we can't help but mention periodic incidents on the Tajik-Kyrgyz border. Two of our states, Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan, express the ability now to quickly and independently localize these incidents and reduce tensions. This is a good thing. But, of course, the reason is the necessity of the border, the incomplete demarcation and delimitation of the border," he said.
